Infrastructure / Exposure

See your network from the other side of the perimeter.

Understand what is exposed, what is exploitable, and how far an attacker could move. Assess internet-facing infrastructure or internal networks with testing tailored to your assets and business priorities.

01 / Assessment coverage

Does one exposed service create a route into critical systems?

I combine asset and service enumeration with manual validation, testing the agreed exposure and segmentation boundaries rather than relying on scanner severity alone.

External attack surface

Agreed public IP addresses, exposed services, remote access systems, and administrative interfaces.

Internal infrastructure

Reachable hosts and services from an agreed internal starting point or remote connection.

Vulnerability validation

Manual investigation of relevant findings to establish exploitability, prerequisites, and likely business impact.

Service configuration

Weak defaults, unnecessary access, authentication settings, and insecure service behavior.

Network segmentation

Checks between agreed source and destination zones to establish whether access boundaries hold.

Attack-path analysis

Evidence showing how individual weaknesses could combine to expose more valuable systems.

Discovery and automated checks support manual investigation. Validation is limited by the agreed rules of engagement, with sensitive and operational systems identified before testing.

02 / The engagement

Clear scope. Thorough testing. Useful answers.

You know what is being tested, how findings are communicated, and what happens next.

  1. 01

    Agree the scope

Define your objectives, assets, access, testing windows, and rules of engagement. Scope and written authorization come first.

  2. 02

    Test & validate

Combine manual testing with supporting tools. Investigate realistic attack paths and raise critical findings during the assessment.

  3. 03

    Explain the risk

Receive a report with business impact, reproducible evidence, priorities, and practical remediation steps.

  4. 04

    Support the fix

Walk through the findings together. Agree any remediation support and retest window in the proposal.

03 / What you receive

A report your team
can put to work.

Leadership needs the risk. Engineers need the evidence. Your report connects the two.

  • Executive summary of risk and business impact
  • Validated findings with evidence and reproduction steps
  • Prioritized, actionable remediation guidance
  • Coverage, limitations, and a findings walkthrough

04 / Before we start

A few good
questions.

Clear expectations make for a better engagement.

Should I choose an internal or external assessment?

External testing examines the services reachable from the internet. Internal testing assesses the view from inside your network. If both questions matter, we can scope them together and distinguish their coverage in the report.

How is a penetration test different from a vulnerability scan?

A scan identifies potential issues at scale. A penetration test adds manual investigation and agreed validation to establish exploitability, context, and attack paths. A vulnerability assessment can be scoped when broader identification is the main objective.

Can you test whether network segmentation works?

Yes, when the relevant zones and access paths are included in scope. We agree the source and destination systems, expected restrictions, and how access attempts will be validated.

How do you handle confidentiality and sensitive data?

Confidentiality, evidence handling, secure report delivery, and retention requirements are agreed before testing. An NDA can be arranged. Please use the initial enquiry to describe your environment without sending credentials or sensitive records.

Is retesting included?

Retesting scope, timing, and any associated fee are agreed in the proposal. When included, the retest checks the remediated findings and records their status; it is not a fresh assessment of newly added functionality.
